Early College High School: Lenoir Community College 

 

FREE!! There is no charge for this program and transportation is provided to the LCC campus. This means you could save $7500 by participating in this program and earning a two year college degree or college transfer!!

Curriculum/Classes:  Rigorous/Accelerated Curriculum in a Five Year Program, Small Class Sizes (12-18), Work-related Internships, Advisor/Coach for Academics, Community Service

Calendar/Schedule:  Students will follow Lenoir Community College schedule not LCPS.  Students may earn the opportunity to participate in classes and internships throughout the program taking advantage of the college schedule and class calendar.

Early College High School Application Process: Students must apply to this program.  Please download an application above.  Student and parent interviews will be conducted as part of the selection process. process.

Project Lead the Way:  South Lenoir High School 

 

Did you know that law students out number engineering students 10:1!  The field of engineering needs you!  This field is not limited to young men, women are engineers too!

Curriculum/Classes: Challenging project-based curriculum for all ability levels.  Whether or not you are preparing for post-secondary education, the skills you will develop through this program will Lead you to a successful future.  Also meet the required components of the NC Senior Project through this hands-on program

Project Lead The Way Application Process:  Students interested in attending South Lenoir’s Project Lead The Way program are required to submit an application.

International Baccalaureate:  Kinston High School    

Curriculum/Classes:  Comprehensive four-year curriculum.  Successful completion of rigorous IB Diploma programme leads to award of IB diploma or certificates of proficiency/completion

College Credits: Earn up to 20-30 transferable college credits to distinguished universities such as Duke, UNC Chapel Hill, Campbell and much more!

IB Diploma Programme required activities include:

Extended Essay,  Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Action, Service.

International Baccalaureate Application Process:  Students interested in attending Kinston High School's International Baccalaureate Academy should submit a transfer form to Kinston High School for IB program.  Please see your school guidance counselor for a letter* of transfer form.

*out-of-county residents must also include a release form their current county with their application
