Head Lice Policy

When children are found with pediculosis or nits, their parents are called immediately to pick them up. Children are to remain at home until they are treated, and their hair is free of lice and nits. It is recommended that parents take the child to their private physician or the Health Department for treatment. When the child is free of lice and nits, he/she will be permitted to return to school. Then school officials must check the child before being allowed to go back to class.
