Pink Hill Elementary and South Lenoir "Team Up"

South Lenoir High School Principal Steve Saint-Amand and Pink Hill Elementary Principal Susan Glover brought their two schools together in order to showcase fourteen of SL’s finest as role models for the Pink Hill Hornets.

The fourteen Blue Devils and Devilettes spent two hours visiting the kindergarten through fifth grade classes at PHE sharing their experiences and explaining the importance of going to school and being a good citizen.  Topics discussed were bullying, respect, homework, reading, setting goals, friendships, bus behavior, listening, and school wide rules.

By the response from teachers and all students, the two schools agreed this was a very successful endeavor and plan for this to become an annual event.  In addition, the two schools, hopefully, will be able to plan other multi-age activities throughout the year.
