Fifth grade students attended The Hands on
Banking workshop on Monday,
April 30, 2012 sponsored by Wells Fargo. Students were guided through
an interactive video covering lessons about saving and checking
accounts, how to budget their money, and how to separate their needs
from their wants. The students were given the following tips in order
to become an awesome money manager: Shop wisely, Create a budget,
Keep track, in writing, of the money you spend, and Make tradeoffs.
The program, handsonbanking.org, is designed to guide students through
lessons and to see how quickly they can be on their way to a
money-bright future!
