Northeast recently begin its first in a series of monthly parent workshops. Last year was the schools first year of offering such parent friendly workshops. These 2-hour sessions were held in the schools PARENT CENTER. It is the schools intent, to provided quality resources, training, and support to the families of the Northeast students. The November session was conducted to provide its participants with quick tips on how parents could support the educational development of their child. Parents were provided with hands on experience and exposure to techniques and strategies. They were given an option to participate in one of two sessions and were invited to a mid-day Parent Luncheon. The next session, will expose parents to the technology uses, benefits, and experiences of which their children are exposed. Parents will be able to participate in use of iPods , iPads, mini laptops, and an interactive session.
