Our Title I Parent Involvement Policy!

The faculty and staff of Contentnea-Savannah School believe in facilitating academic, social, and emotional growth for all students and assisting them in becoming responsible, successful citizens in a globally competitive world. For this to become a reality, we further believe that it takes the support and involvement of all members of our educational community—students, parents, administrators, and other staff members. This involvement is particularly critical between Title I parents and the other members of the school community. By communicating regularly and working together consistently, we can continue to move forward successfully to reach our goal of providing the best possible learning environment for every student.

Parents are invited to take an active role in the services that are provided by the school to their children. At the beginning of each school year, parents are informed directly during meetings of the mpact of Title I funding on our school’s educational programs.

Specific information about the requirements of the Title I Program is shared with parents. They are encouraged to review Contentnea-Savannah School’s Title I plan and to become involved in every aspect of our efforts to help every child to excel.

Throughout the school year, Contentnea-Savannah School works to educate and to empower parents with information about the academic progress of their children and about how they can work with and assist their children at home. Every effort is made to cultivate and strengthen this essential and ongoing relationship between the home and school and between parents and educators.

Information (in both English and Spanish) is sent home frequently throughout the year to inform parents about meetings, programs, services, and opportunities available through the school because of the Title I program. Information is provided in the most readable and understandable way possible with a variety of presentation styles and formats used to maximize its appeal and basic effectiveness.

The roles and responsibilities of all parties involved in the educational process of helping students grow and thrive are outlined in the Student-Parent-Teacher-Principal Compacts. These agreements represent an opportunity for all of the stakeholders to affirm their specific responsibilities, and by signing the compact, to commit to providing unfailing effort toward achieving the goal of success for every child. These agreements will serve as the focus of all plans, efforts, and strategies employed by the school and home to facilitate and to maintain the educational growth and success of all  students at Contentnea~Savannah School.
